What We Collect

When you submit an enquiry or booking request (Contact form or Check Availability form):

• Full name
• Email address
• Phone number
• Event type, date, and venue/location
• Any message or details you provide

When a booking is confirmed and you pay a deposit (via our booking system):

• Payment is processed securely by our payment provider (e.g. Stripe/WooCommerce) — we do not store your full card details ourselves.
• We retain a record of the transaction (amount, date, booking reference) for accounting purposes.

Why We Collect It

• To respond to your enquiry and assess availability for your event.
• To manage and confirm your booking, including sending you approval and payment-related notifications.
• To provide the DJ service you’ve booked.
• To meet our legal/accounting obligations (e.g. records of payment).

Legal Basis

We process your data based on: taking steps at your request prior to entering a contract (your enquiry/booking), performance of a contract (once booked), and our legitimate interest in running our business efficiently. Where cookies are not strictly necessary, we rely on your consent (see Cookie Policy).

Who We Share It With

• Our website host and booking system provider, who process data on our behalf.
• Our payment processor, for handling deposit/balance payments.
• We do not sell or rent your personal data to third parties.

How Long We Keep It

We retain enquiry and booking data for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfil the purposes above, and to meet accounting/tax retention requirements (typically up to 6 years for financial records under Irish law). Enquiries that don’t lead to a booking are deleted after a reasonable period.

Your Rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to:

• Ask us to delete your data (subject to legal retention requirements)
